A Very Memorable Night!

We were invited by our friends Scott and Lindasue to attend the "First Presidency's Christmas Devotional," down in Salt Lake.  That, in and of itself, is such a wonderful opportunity and experience, to be in the presence of the prophet, and to hear their messages, but the evening was better then expected.  The First Presidency talked about remembering the meaning of Christmas and getting "lost" in the service of others.  To hear the Mormon Tabernacle Choir is always wonderful, but when accompanied by the orchestra was so amazing, and left you with chills!!  The rest of the night was just icing on the cake.

 This is where we sat!!

We were able to sit with Scott's parents and extended family.  We were on the 5th row from the front, and surrounded my many members of the Quorum of the 12....what an amazing experience!!!  We were also able to ride the golf carts that take you from the Church Office Building, under the SLC temple, and over to the Conference center, the ones that take the First Presidency and 12 apostles to the conference center.

This was us just getting on the carts, and getting ready for our ride to the conference center...so crazy!!!!

Once we were in our seats, we saw many of the apostles come in and sit in their seats, down in the audience.  Elder Bednar, Elder Holland, Elder Nelson, Elder Perry, were all sitting in the section next to us. Ryan said Elder Oaks was sitting there as well, but I never saw him.

As we were leaving, Elder Nelson and Elder Holland, were waiting in line right behind us, to catch the next cart....so surreal to be so close to such wonderful men.  As we arrived back at the Church Office Building after the devotional, we got off the cart, and Elder Perry was standing there with some of his family, and Elder Nelson got off the cart behind us.  Ryan was then able to shake Elder Nelson's hand as he entered the Church Office Building.  What a very memorable night!!!  Thanks Scott and Lindasue, we had such a wonderful time!!!
