A Special Day!

Today was Hallie and Remie's Blessing Day. We were joined by all of our family and had a great day. They were blessed by their dad, Great-Grandpa Barfuss, Grandpa Barfuss, and Papa G. I have had professional pictures taken of them in their blessing dressings, so when I get those I will post them. This is what we took of them today. Hallie is sleeping and Remie is awake. They both did great during the blessings (Slept through the whole thing...I guess that is what happens when you feed them full, before you go!!!)

The twins turned 12 weeks yesterday. They won't be officially be 3 months until October 4th. It is so amazing how time flies! They have been such good babies. I really can't complain...although, I have a time or too. We are so grateful for all of the sweet spirits that are in our home. We are very blessed!

Some Fun Pictures

I was looking through the pictures on our camera this morning and thought it would be fun to post some of the silly pictures that I found. So these are just some odds and ends from the last couple of weeks.


This was at one of Rylie's many birthday parties. She had just opened up a gift and it was "Camp Rock" underwear. She was a little embarassed.



We were having my family over for Rylie's birthday, and we had brought out the bouncy chair for one of the twins. I later looked over and noticed that there were two babies in the chair....two of Sydnie's baby dolls. The funny part is, is that I think one baby was for Sydnie and the other was for her cousin Avery, who was actually sitting right next to Sydnie on the patio. They also had their diaper bags and bottles ready to go. They both LOVE playing with baby dolls.


This is one at of Sydnie and her Cousin Avery. Aren't they just so cute...minus the red eye. My sister has a picture of them when we ate at the Olive Garden about a month ago. The funny part is, is that they are wearing the same outfits.


The next two are of Rylie and her cousin Alexa coming down the slide at the Fun Park. They had such a great time playing. Rylie came down the slide a little two fast and I didn't get a great picture of her.

Sleeping Milestone!

It is funny what gets me excited these days...but we had our first official "Sleeping through the night" last night! I put the babies to bed at 11 last night and I did not hear from them until 6:30 this morning...when I went into see if they were still alive. I think I woke Hallie up when I touched her...or they may have lasted even longer. The funny part is, is that Ryan wasn't here to enjoy it. I guess that will teach him to go on overnight 4-wheeling trips!

Baby Weight Update

We went to the doctor yesterday...here is the latest!

They are almost 11 weeks...or 2 1/2 months old.

Remie - 8 pounds 6.5 ounces (5%) 21 inches long (8%)
Hallie - 8 pounds 4.5 ounces (5%) 21 1/4 inches long (10%)

They are both on the "normal" bell curve and are being compared to other "typical" kids. YEAH! Last time we went in they were on an "Adjusted curve." So we are making good progress!

I can't believe Rylie is already 7, where does the time go! It seems like yesterday that she was just a baby. She is such a joy to have in our family...we love her so much! I have added a few of her pictures over the past 7 years. Some she might get mad at me for....but I am the mom and can do what I want!

Rylie loves to dance! She has been taking dancing for 4 years now.






She also loves to be with her cousins on both sides. This is her and her cousin Alexa waiting for fireworks on the 4th of July.

She also loves to play soccer. She likes to practice with our neighbor Katelyn who plays competitive soccer.

Hoop Lake 2009

We just got back from our annual camping trip in the Uintahs with Ryan's family. We go over Labor Day weekend and spend time at Hoop Lake. This year, since I am still technically on Maternity Leave, we were able to leave a few days earlier then we usually do and spend more time fishing and relaxing. We left on Wednesday afternoon and got back on Monday. Every time we go, it generally rains...however, we had only a couple of little rain storms that came through and only one overcast day. The weather was really great considering where we were at. I have added a lot of our pictures from the trip...sorry it is a long one.

Hallie and Remie - That is the first smile I have been able to capture on camera. However, I still think she only had gas. Remie with the dang binkie!

I get asked a lot...how we tell the twins apart. Remie is on the right, and she has a red spot on her eyelid. You can see it on the inside of her eye. When she gets mad it gets even more red.

I had a lot of babysitters while we were camping. Ryan's sisters and mom were great to help feed and watch the babies. I also had a lot of help from their cousins. This is Brinley with Rylie holding the babies.

Sydnie getting ready to go on a 4-wheeler ride. She was very excited. Check out her glasses. She found them down at the "beach." There is a little spot of sand down at the lake and she found them there. They have a little Hulk on the edge. She thought they were great. She is so funny. She watches Ryan like a hawk and does everything he does. He generally wears sunglasses when he rides the 4-wheeler and now Sydnie is too. And when she is done with them, she will put them on the top of her head.


On one of the day, Ryan and I, along with Ryan's cousin Jeff and his wife Josie, went on a 4-wheeler ride to Spirit Lake. It is a 20 mile ride, east of Hoop Lake. The lake itself is beautiful.

This is one of the many beautiful sunsets that we saw. Since we were able to go up earlier in the week we were able to get the "coveted camping spot" on the hill. The lake was just down below where we were camping. So each night we were able to see the sunset on the lake.
