Christmas Day at Grandma Joy's 2012

It's been tradition for many years, that after we do Christmas at our house, we then go to Grandma Joy's.  The girls love being with all of their cousins, and having Christmas all over again!

Christmas Morning 2012

It is so fun to have such excitement on Christmas Morning!  I have to keep reminding myself that the time will come that their excitement and innocence, will be gone, and I need to enjoy the moment. The girls were so excited, particularly the twins.  Hallie and Remie kept asking for "pink and purple" presents.  They didn't care what was inside....just as long as it was "pink and purple."  As a parent with all of the excitement, it is hard to keep the true meaning of Christmas!  With the days leading up to Christmas, you try to remind them and talk to them about Christ, and all that he has done for us. I am truly grateful for my Savior, and I hope my girls know that!!

First glimpses, and still a little sleepy.  I think Sydnie was the first one up.

Rylie and Sydnie checking out their new Kindles.  They were hoping for DS's, but I think Santa thought that the Kindles would be a little more useful...especially with reading and homework.

Yes, that is a ream of paper, that Remie is holding,  from our babysitter Becky!  The twins, especially Remie, are into writing and drawing pictures.  She gave them each a marker set with paints, and a ream of paper to go with it.  Remie was very excited.

Seeing Santa

Each year we get together with Ryan's mom's side of the family.  We get to tell Santa everything we could ever want for Christmas, eat KFC, and hit a pinata.  We have gotten better about actually sitting on his lap, but we don't have to be happy about it.

The Lights at Temple Square

Every year since we have been dating, we try to go to Temple Square during the Christmas season to see all of the beautiful lights.  This year during the Christmas Break, we went down with my parents.

The temple is so beautiful!!  Such a fun time of year!

Christmas 2011

Christmas 2011
We forgot the camera on Christmas Eve, so I don't have any pictures from the party at Grandma Shirley's, but we were definitely there and got to see Santa one more time to finalize up some last minute details!  The twins were much more excited to see what he brought them, then actually sitting on his lap!!

Waiting for Mom....who wanted to sleep in a little more!

Every year, after we are done opening gifts at our house, we jump in the truck and head to Grandma Joy's to do it all over again with all of our cousins!!!  This year was just a little different, Christmas fell on Sunday, we went went to Sacrament and then headed to Grandma's Joy's.  We cannot forget about the most important part of the Christmas season....Christ!  We are so grateful for all that Christ did for us, and all that he continues to bless us with!  We are truly blessed!!!

Seeing Santa

Every year we get together with Ryan's mom's side of the family, in Ogden, where we get to see Santa and tell him what we want for Christmas.  The twins were not fond of Santa at all!
