Fun with Cousins!!

We had the joy of having my sisters kids, Alexa and Avery, over for a few days.  We did a lot of fun things.  We were able to go to the "Fun Park" and also go up the canyon to cook hot dogs.

At the Fun Park...
The girls wanted to try to roller skate/ roller blade.  The little girls had a hard time, but loved every minute of it.  The big girls didn't want to leave, once they got the hang of it.  When they were done skating, they would go over to the "soft play" area for a break.  Needless to say, we tied and untied skates many times.  It was worth it, they had a great time.

This one didn't end well!

On Friday, we went up Blacksmith Fork Canyon to cook a hot dog.  It was great to be able to get out of the house for a while.  The girls had a great time!!

11 Months Old

Remie and Hallie are officially 11 months old.  WOW!  It is really hard to believe they will be a year old, 1 month from now.  I am kind of excited about the thought of them being a year old, NO MORE FORMULA, I shouldn't get to excited yet....we still have another month.

Hallie has got one more tooth, on top this time.  She was grinding her teeth they other day, and I thought, how is she grinding her teeth, with just two on the bottom.  Sure enough she has one on top now.  Remie still doesn't have one on top.  However, with all of the poopy diapers I have changed today, I think there is one coming.

They are both going through, "You can't leave my sight, or I am going to cry" phase.  It is lovely!  I have to sneak out of the room, while they are pre-occupied to get anything done.

Remie is crawling officially, and has been for about 2 weeks. She is getting around pretty good.  Hallie is scooting around on her behind.  She is actually faster then Remie at times, but gets frustrated at other times when she gets stuck.  If we put her on her belly she immediately goes to the sitting position, then scoots around.  What a funny kid.

We took some pictures of them in the tub.  They will love us, when they get older.  They make me laugh!

Ryan's Newest Hobby

As many of you know, Ryan has a few hobbies that keep him entertained throughout most of the year.  Yet, he has discovered one more....SMOKING!  No, I am not talking about smoking, smoking, but smoking food.  He just got a new smoker and he is loving every minute of it.  He is trying to find new recipes for it and is just waiting for some time to really put it to some good use.  He smoked some of the fish we got from our last camping trip.  It really wasn't too bad.  Kind of like fish jerky.  I am kind of excited for him to do some different things.

Some Funny Pics

So if you can't tell, I have been a little behind on my blogging.  As I have been going through pictures, I have found some pretty funny ones.  I thought it would be fun to add them as well.  (If you are in them, don't hate me!!)

This one was at my mom's house, while we were having a birthday party for her and Sydnie.  I think she was a little excited.  The funny part is, is that it is just a bike helmet.  I guess she really wanted one.

This one and the next one were taken at the dance recital.  That is Alexa sitting there. I don't think she realizes that her picture was being taken.

The next one, has created a lot of controversy on Facebook.  Ryan posted it, and Kristin got a little upset with him.  I had to laugh, because there is finally a picture that is NOT of my double chin!!!  Thanks Kristin!  (Don't hate me!)

Sydnie's Preschool Graduation

Sydnie has officially graduated from preschool.  She has been coming with me in the mornings for the last two years and attending Miss Roz's class.  She has loved all of her teachers and all of the friends she has made.  I am going to miss our time spent driving to and from school together.  Many mornings it is just me and her.  She is such a crack-up and she has made me laugh on more then one occasion!

(We have each kid come in one at a time and get an award.)

Getting her award from Miss Roz.  She got "Best Artist Award."

We are very proud of her and the good example she has been at school.  She has been very helpful with some of the students that have significant disabilities.  It has been fun to see her care for those students, and express her genuine concern for them.  I hope it carries on with her.

Our First Camping Trip of the Summer

We have kind of started a new family tradition with Ryan's family, camping at Devil's Creek Reservoir, over Memorial Day Weekend.  We have been doing it for a while now, due to the regular spot being very popular.  So now we just have a spot reserved at the Reservoir.  We like to refer to it as "The Hole."  It really is in a hole by the lake, and when it rains, we all pray that we will be able to get the trailers out!  (The was one year that made us all a little nervous!)  But when it is not raining it makes for some very beautiful scenery.

Remie up to something.

It was nice to be able to get out again.  We didn't get to do a lot of camping last year....for obvious reasons, but we are hoping to get out more this year.

Quick Trip to Cabelas

We went to Cabela's a couple of weeks ago with Ryan's mom and dad, and his sister Jill and her husband Kyle.  We stopped at "The Mayan" on the way back.  So we had to get a quick picture of the kids.

Happy Birthday Sydnie!

Sydnie turned 5 years old!  She is very excited!  We have been hearing about her birthday...since her last birthday day.  She had two parties.  One she got to share with Grandma Joy while we were in Idaho, and the other was on her birthday with Ryan's family.

Happy Birthday Sydnie!

Spring Dance Recital

Rylie and Sydnie had their spring dance recital on the May 21st.  They both did a great job!  Grandma Joy and Papa G, Grandma Shirley and Grandpa Von, Kristin, Avery, Alexa, and Jaxson all came to see them perform.
