Rylie's Friend Birthday

Rylie and her dear friend Brooklyn were able to share a friend birthday party.  Their birthdays are just a day apart.  We took 12 kids to the Fun Park for skating and soft-play.  They had such a great time.  Rylie just loves to roller blade.

Happy Birthday Rylie and Brooklyn!

Happy 8th Birthday!!

Hoop Lake 2010

We went on our annual camping trip Hoop Lake, in the Unitas, September 2nd - September 6th.  Sydnie got to spend her 2nd day of school there, she thought she was so lucky!  We have been going for years.  It is a tradition in Ryan's family that goes back MANY years.  It is a great little fishing spot.  We went with Ryan's mom and dad, his sisters Jill and Julie, and their families.  All in all, it was a pretty good trip.  It is usually raining or snowing but the weather was beautiful, minus the very chilly mornings and wind.  We did have a dog pass away while we were gone.  The boys were able to bury her up there, so when Ryan's mom goes back each year, she will be able to go visit.  Ryan's sister and dad also had flat tires, but those were easy fixes considering what could have gone wrong.

Remie found grandma's goods.

Ryan and I, his sister Julie and her husband Brian, and Ryan's mom and dad, went on a 40 mile 4-wheeler ride to "Spirit Lake"  It is a beautiful ride, a LITTLE dusty, but very nice.

Sydnie's 1st day of Kindergarten

Sydnie started her first day of Kindergarten on September 2nd.  She drove me nuts all summer long...."Mom, when do I go to school?  Mom, when do I go to school?"  She was bummed when Rylie got to start first.  So when the day finally arrived she was very excited.  She is in  Miss Jones' PM Class.  We love Miss Jones.  She was Rylie's teacher as well.  Sydnie also has a lot of friends in her class....poor Miss Jones.  I hope they don't get in trouble for talking.

Hallie and Remie trying to get in on the action.  It is going to be a couple more years before they get to go to school...not that I am counting or anything.

On our way to school, Sydnie said that it was her luckiest day.  She said, "I got to go to McDonald's for lunch, I get to go to school, and I get to go camping."  (We left for a camping trip right after school.) When we got to her class, I helped her find her chair and get started on her coloring.  I went to leave, and her eyes began to well up with tears.  I felt bad, I think she was a little overwhelmed by everything.  Miss Jones came over to help her and I slipped out, knowing that I would only make the problem worse if I stayed.  Yesterday, Sydnie told Ryan that she hadn't cried anymore at school.  I think she is liking it again.

Rylie's 1st Day of 2nd Grade

Rylie started her first day of 2nd Grade on August 26th.  She was so excited.  She has Mrs. Merrill this year.  A lot of her friends from her class last year and from our ward are in her class.  Apparently, she still likes to run with the boys at recess.  I guess that is okay, until they start playing kiss tag!!!

Box Elder County Fair 2010

We were able to go to the Box Elder County Fair with Ryan's mom and dad.  We went over on Wednesday to watch the annual parade...which of course we don't have any pictures of, because neither of us brought the camera.  On Thursday we went back over to go to the fair.  The girls were able to ride a few rides, which the loved.

Wow!  Where has the time gone!  12 years ago, Ryan and I were married in the Logan Temple.  He is such a wonderful husband and I truly appreciate all that he does for me and the girls!  The day it self is kind of a blur....everything happened so fast and it was such a busy day.  But I am grateful for that day and all of the ones since....and with the hope of many more to come.
Happy Anniversary!  I love you!!

I was looking through some of our wedding pictures the other day and thought it would be fun to get some on the blog.  The sad part is, is that all of our pictures were taken before digital cameras were popular.  So we took the pictures, had to wait many weeks to see what they were going to look like.  Waited for the proofs to come back and then we had to order from the proofs.  Needless to say, I had to scan in all of the our pictures.  That doesn't make me old or anything!!

More Fun in the Sun!

We just got back from a fun-filled day at "Stone."  (This is a newly discovered fishing hole, that is usually quite a little "hot-spot." Today they got skunked. Haha)  Anyway, after the boys went fishing we met them to play around in the water and have lunch.  I didn't get any pictures of Sydnie, but she said she was there.  Ryan's dad had his boat with tubes and the "hot dog."  The kids had a great time, and got a little sunburnt.

Hannah, Rylie, and Hailey - getting ready to take the first trip.

Hallie trying to take off Ryan's hat while he slept.  She got a little mad when he kept taking it back and putting it back on.

Now, she is happy!

Remie sporting Ryan's sunglasses and a very dirty face.  She had a great time eating all of the cookies.

Von & Shirley getting ready to take their turn on the "hot dog." I have better pictures of them, but I don't want them to dis-own us, so I will save those for another time.

Rylie - I couldn't get her out of the water.

Last, but not least, Me.  Ryan thinks he is so funny!!!  He said if I didn't post the picture, he would put it as my Facebook profile picture.  I think I had better play it safe.  A lot more people see my Facebook pictures, then look at my blog.  Let's get some sun on those lily whites.
