Sydnie's Second Day of Preschool

So I did it again!! I forgot to take pictures of my child on her first day of school! What is my problem this year. Ryan came home from work that day and said, "Did you get pictures of Sydnie this morning?" NOPE! I forgot again. So Ryan took pictures of her the next morning before she went to school. School started for her on September 1st. This is her 2nd year at Riverside Preschool. She is in Miss Roz's class and was excited to see some of her friends from last year.

Fair Time in Tremonton!

We went over to the Fair in Tremonton two weeks ago...I sure am behind with blogging!!! We went to the parade then spent a little time riding the rides. The pictures of the rides didn't turn out so well...a little blurry, so I just posted pictures of the parade.

The twins during the parade. Hallie is on the left, Remie on the right. I wish I could sleep like that. They slept through the whole thing. They are almost 2 months old, and finally starting to growing into their skin a little.

Updated Baby Pictures

We have been trying to get updated pictures of the babies. They change so much from day to day. However, to get both of them in a happy mood at the same time has become quite a challenge. Ryan tried to take pictures of them last night.

I tried again this morning. I think we are in love with the binkies.
With binkies...

With Binkies. They are so funny! Now you can see what our nights are like, when they realize that they don't have their binkies.

After a little coaxing I finally got them to sit without the binkies, and not fuss.

A Relaxing Day!

So it has been raining for the last two days. There is a joke with our neighbors....that if you want it to rain, send the Barfuss family camping. We technically didn't go camping...we didn't take the trailer, but we did spend Saturday with Ryan's family who was camping. It was 87 degrees when we pulled into their camp, so we spent most of the afternoon sitting in the shade, relaxing. They were camping at Devil's Reservoir, so it was easy for us to sneak over there for the day.

Me with Hallie. I thought Ryan was getting a close up of Hallie, hence my funny face.

Sydnie looking for the deer on the hill across the reservoir. Ryan had been using the binoculars earlier. We looked over and saw Sydnie with them, trying to find the deer to. Ryan may not have any boys to take hunting...but I think he may need up with a hunting partner after all.

It was a great relaxing day!

2nd Day of 1st Grade!

Okay, so I am the slacker mom who didn't take pictures of Rylie on her 1st day of 1st Grade...hey we were just lucky to get all of us out the door and on time to school!

No...Ryan had left for work and I was suppose to walk Rylie to school. I got the twins fed, in the stroller, Sydnie dressed, Rylie's hair done, and breakfast with 15 minutes to spare and a mile walk ahead of us...when we started down the drive way that was when I remembered that we had forgotten to take pictures. I asked Rylie if she wanted me to get the camera she didn't want me to...so I told her we would get them on her 2nd day...for sure!

This is Rylie and her friend walking home on their 1st day...I guess I did get a picture. There is a group of kids that will be either riding or walking together.

Sydnie waiting patiently for Rylie to come home. She sat on the couch for about 1/2 hour just watching for Rylie...I think she missed her a little. As soon as Sydnie saw them she ran outside.

Rylie's 2nd Day of 1st Grade

I have to admit that I have had very mixed emotions about school starting. Rylie has been very excited, but I have lost my little helper. She has been such a big help with the twins. She is able to feed and burb one of them while Sydnie, or myself is feeding the other. I didn't realize how much she has been helping me, until she was gone. Sydnie likes to start feeding one of them, but then gets board really fast and is done. However, she stepped up to the plate and has been my new big helper, since Rylie has been gone. I even talked Sydnie into watering the plants with me yesterday. Hopefully the novelty doesn't wear off too soon!

We Survived!

We survived our first camping trip with the twins! We were invited to Bear Lake with Becky...our babysitter over the weekend. They have a piece of property over there and it is beautiful...even in the rain. Rylie and Sydnie had a great time. They have missed seeing Becky, and they followed her around like little shadows. As for the twins...they only left the trailer twice...once when we got there and before we left. We were only gone for one night...we wanted to do a trial run before we did any longer trips. So Bear Lake was perfect.

Rylie collecting seashells. Don't mind the dark clouds...it does that every time we go camping!!

Sydnie playing in the sand. She wasn't sure if she wanted to put her swimming suit on. She eventually did...just for a little while. She then decided it was too cold and put her clothes back on.

Becky and Rylie...Becky had a little blow-up boat that had a motor on it. Rylie is trying to drive it.

Sydnie watching Rylie....She said she wasn't cold and didn't want her jacket. I think she was lying.

The whole family...just before we left.

This one is for you Aunt Glenda!

We received these outfits from my Aunt Glenda in Arizona last week. They are so cute that I had to put them on the blog.

Thank You Aunt Glenda!!!

When Kids are Left Alone....

Since we haven't been able to do much this summer, Rylie has been playing with one of the neighbor girls quite a bit. Yesterday they started out playing Poly Pockets/Pet Shops underneath the picnic table in the back yard. After a little while, they came in and asked if they could put the sprinkler under the trampoline. I thought that would be a great idea...give them something different to do. That was when Sydnie and the other neighbor boy joined in. They were all having a great time. Ryan came home from work a little while later and I went to leave...I stepped out back to let the girls know I was leaving and this is what I saw....

All 4 of them had found the sidewalk chalk and were using it as make-up. The funny part was that, Sydnie was using the flat of a mason jar lid as a mirror to get her make-up on. After the first inital shock, I had Ryan come and look. That is when he grabbed the camera.

Weight Gain Update

I just got back from another Dr. Appointment. We are still gaining weight!! Hallie is actually starting to gain on Remie. Remie is 5lbs 10.5 ounces and Hallie is 5lbs 7 ounces. Their oxygen levels have stayed the same since last week. The best part is...we officially get to send the oxygen tanks back and we don't have to go back to the doctor until their 2 month check-up in September, YEAH!!!

Just a side note....we are also going to attempt our first overnight camping trip with the twins, this weekend. I am so excited to actually be getting out of the house, but very nervous for that night in a trailer. We have been invited to go to Bear Lake with some friends. Wish us luck!!

4 Weeks Old!

The twins are 4 weeks old today! It is so crazy how the time flies. They are doing so well and growing every day! I thought I had better get some new pictures.

These first picture is a tradition that Ryan and I started back with Rylie. We have made an imprint of the babies hands when they are 3 weeks old. With Rylie we received the plaque as a shower gift...what a fun idea! Anyway, we did the twins last Saturday. Look real close and see if you can see the difference in size between the two older girls and the twins. I promise they were all done when they were 3 weeks old. It starts with Rylie on the left and goes oldest to youngest.

We took the rest of the pictures last night. Remie is on the left, Hallie is on the right. I have discovered that it is so hard to get a decent picture of them together...they are sooo wiggly, which makes for blurry pictures.
